1-18-2012 Product Marketing Manager - Houston, Texas
Summary:
Nailor Industries, Inc. is currently seeking a Product Marketing Manager to administer our Air Control Products division. The successful candidate will interact with our Houston management team and become a key player in growing an existing product line, as well as, establishing new markets. This position is ideal for an Engineer looking to move into a management or Sales/Marketing role.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):
The Product Marketing Manager will provide the processes and direction necessary to grow assigned product lines.  Working with multiple departments and customers, the Product Marketing Manager will:

  • Conduct market research to determine requirements for future product lines
  • Review existing product lines for enhancements
  • Develop and implement marketing campaigns and projects to create or improve product lines
  • Generate pricing strategies to best position product within marketplace
  • Liaison with Engineering, Sales, Production, Clients and Management to monitor projects
  • Oversee electronic and printable catalog literature production
  • Create electronic submittal packages
  • Provide advertising literature (electronic and printed) and training materials, including Webinars and PowerPoint, to customers
  • Construct and maintain ordering procedures and pricing schedules
  • Attend tradeshows and liaison with product related technical committees as a Nailor Representative  

Requirements and skills:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related degree
  • 7-10 years minimum HVAC industry experience, life safety products (Fire, Smoke, Fire/Smoke combination…a plus)
  • Exceptionally strong organizational capabilities
  • Superior written and verbal communications skills
  • Familiar with MS Office products
  • Exposure to rating agencies, such as UL and AMCA
  • SolidEdge (ST2 or higher) 3D modeling software or equivalent preferred
  • AutoCAD 2009 or newer
  • Technical writing ability
  • Ability to master various software packages quickly
  • Light travel, including International
  • Technical Design Guide experience highly desirable

1-18-2012 Marketing Assistant - Houston, Texas
Summary:
Nailor Industries, Inc. is currently seeking a Marketing Assistant to aid staff with daily tasks. The successful candidate will interact with our Houston and Toronto Marketing team, clients and various members of other departments. This position is an entry level position and is ideal for an individual looking to break into the Marketing field.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):
The Marketing Assistant will support Marketing personnel in various tasks as determined by project.  Such tasks include:

  • Writing and assisting in creating e-mail blasts and blogs, newsletters, promotional packets, various marketing materials and press releases
  • Generating PowerPoint Presentations from outlines
  • Updating and maintaining customer databases
  • Act as liaison between the company and outside agencies or vendors as needed
  • Creating flowcharts from workflow outlines
  • Maintaining Marketing intranet and dashboards
  • Organizing, copying and indexing historical records into digital database
  • Debugging of pricing and product selection software as directed by management
  • Liaison with Engineering, Sales, Production and Customers as needed
  • Data entry into tables/documents from existing or historical data
  • Point person for marketing literature and organization
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements and skills:

  • Marketing, Communications or English degree preferred
  • Strong writing and editing skills with close attention to detail
  • Must have a high degree of professionalism, organization, be very proactive and flexible
  • Ability to make quick decisions, multi-task and prioritize in a fast paced environment
  • Strong familiarity with MS Office products
  • Superior written and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to learn various software packages quickly, including database software
  • Use of social media, including Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Google+, YouTube and Flickr
  • Light travel, possibly including International
  • Data organization and compilation a plus
